BIOGRAPHY

Ellie Burgueño is a USA-Mexico Journalist, newspaper columnist, public speaker, and self-published author.

She began her career as a journalist after several years of practice in the legal field and translation. She's the founding director of the binational Beyond Borders Gazette & the international Elite Tourism Magazine. Ellie recently established BB Publishing Inc. in California.

She launched her dream career in 2019 as a professional public speaker, after finding success with her first motivational book “Second Chance” (Spanish Version).

Ellie Burgueño was awarded twice the 1st Place Annual Fapermex National Journalism Award "Ricardo Flores Magón" in Column Category in 2018 and 2019, with her columns "Overcoming my Fear to Death" and "The Art of Being Bilingual".

She is the founding president of the Imperial County-Mexicali Press Club, an active San Diego Press Club, NAHJ (National Association of Hispanic Journalists), and Calexico Rotary Club member.
